A visit to Haw Par Villa!

Went to the long forgotten attraction in Singapore, Haw Par Villa now that it is so accessible by taking the circle line.
I realised that i have never been to this place after living in this tiny red dot for 21 yrs!

It was rather crowded when we were there on one of the sat.

Here comes the more interesting part of attraction

Ten courts of hell.

ok by reading up till here, i suppose most people would have committed some 'sins' mentioned already...
I admit i do waste food....
body sawn into 2 =( Not a big sin ma!

Believe it or not, that's the 10 courts of hell!

And the rest of the other chinese stories such as 'bai se zhuan', 'sun wu kong and master'

hmmm???

Totally no idea how this statue of liberty relate to this place?!?!?! *shrug*

p.s Actually this place is so boring! =x

  1. corruption is only at 2nd court of hell, but cheating in exam is at 8th court of hell.

btw according to sociology, this kinda rules are usually passed down from people in power to the commoners. and corruption are usually conducted by people in power, that's why they punish themselves less harshly.

i don't like these images at all, reminded me of the free booklet i was given in temple. using fear to force people to do good.

  2. xuan! i also dun understand why crimes that seems lighter are punished more harshly. They probably just wanna scare us, especially the kids that why wasting of food or cheating in exam are punished more harshly. haha
